This February, tell a farmer you love to get this month’s assistive technology item of the month HeatTrak mats! These warming mats allow you to warm up any doorway or sidewalk, melting dangerous ice patches and reducing the need to shovel snow. During the freezing winters of Wisconsin, these mats are great tools to not only reduce strain on joints from shoveling, but also reduce the chance of slipping and falling on ice. Check out AgrAbility’s assistive technology toolbox for more information: http://www.agrability.org/toolbox/
If you are curious about what assistive technology items could benefit you most or know a farmer who is struggling with a disability or injury, reach out to us! Enrollment in our program is easy and free. For more information, see our website: https://agrability.bse.wisc.edu/
